Yea I know now I have a unique situation. My ex-girlfriend and I have gotten back together, broken up, gotten back together and broken up more times than I can count. I have used several technich’s in several books including this one and the stuff works. But now after she broke up with me again I am calling it quits permanent. I cah’t take the BS anymore. She is insecure, overjealous and she has more issues than any women I have ever been with. But I will admit the material that I have read has helped me and I will use it on the next women I meet. I sent my ex a letter of apology letter learned from magic of making up but i did not say anything about the agreeing to the break up and i told my ex i will let him be but when he is ready that i will be there. hi! a lil’ help please. i’m trying to practice NC. and i’ve already accomplished to agree with the break-up one big mistake though i told her we can be friends.she is in a relationship now(she cheated on me and she’s with that guy now),i took responsibility for the wreck and sent her a sorry e-mail. she’s miles away now but did not live with the rebound guy i think they’e keeping a long distance relationship. she drops me IM’s at times which i prefer not to answer but she puts situations like, asking about her stuffs that are with me but not really asking me to give it back, but is saying she’s gonna get time sometime in the future. it really confuses me… and i find it hard to stand for a NC with that situation. she also asks about some help with things like where can i get a better job…help me out. stuff like that. how should i analyze this?

Then he said he had to be hard at me because he thought our relationship would only hurt eachother. He broke up with me when i had a suicide attempt. I’m recovered now and want to show him i really love him and i was weird the last time just because of a fucking depression that didnt have much to do with him.. I’m 20. How can i make him trust me again? I really am better, i didnt talk to him for quite a while, worked on myself, im really good now, have a car, im learning to drive now, working on modelling.. It’s just i miss him! (i’m not obsessed though, i just think i have a chance with him.. we loved eachother lots, we were together for 8 months or so and were friends before)
Hi – My ex and I broke up and we have seen each other twice since. Each time he contacts me, but then pulls back and then only texts me for weeks. He is saying he wants to get back to where we once were yet that was 2 weeks ago since we last saw each other and he has only texted me since, no phone call or invite to do anything. I know he wants to go slow but it feels to me like a mind game. Please help. How should I handle this? Should I stop all contact with him and stop responding to his texts or just back off and delay my replies and not make any effort but wait for him to do so?

Hi, My ex dumped me and i agreed with the break up and asked him if we could be friends and he said yes and he stops talking to me and i told him this (want to tell you that you were right about the break up… i guess we do need space. amazingly somethng wonderful happened rencently.. i guess when things happened they happened for a reason.. you know what?) i thught it will make him call me because out of curosity and he never respond back… why does he not wanna talk to me no more… how can we become friends and get back together?!
I broke up on March 21, 2009 and want to initiate contact. I didn’t write the acceptance letter since I didn’t know about it back then. What kind of contact can I have now? Been together for 3 years. So I finished waiting the month ish to call her. I worked on myself during this time, made sure I got in even better looking shape, got back into some hobbies I had stopped a while back.
I just called her to ask how she was doing, asked how the family was, all I got from her was good and she just seemed indifferent. I did make sure I brought up a good memory, I told her about me recently finding the ticket to my senior prom still in my wallet but even that conversation didn’t really go anywhere. I very quickly ended the conversation because I just wasn’t getting a good vibe from it. Here’s pretty much the complete conversation for a whopping time of 1:42.
Me: Hey, how’s it goin? I haven’t talked to you in a while and thought I’d see how you were doing.
Her: Good.
Me: So how’s the family?

Me: Is that the only answer I’m going to get from you?
Her: Yeah, I guess. Nothing has really changed.

It just seemed like the call went completely down the tubes. She may not have been ready for the call at all and I caught her off guard and that’s why she reacted that way, but she is also at the about the 3 week point in her rebound relationship so I may have just contacted her too early . Regardless, I won’t be making any contact with her for the rest of the week and probably next week as well unless she contacts me first. I’m guess that right now I should just keep focusing on myself and wait it out for now. What are your thoughts on the situation?

My ex and I broke up January 31st. We’ve been together for 2 years, done the usual break up and get back together deal. This time I figured it would be the same. We actually had been ok for a while, and he is an alcoholic and came home extremely drunk and just lost all control. THAT is why we broke up…I just kept telling him to go to bed and sleep it off…didn’t work. So anyways…literally 2 days later he started talking to someone else. Now they hang out almost daily…and we’ve almost been broken up 2 weeks. I feel so rushed though because I want to end his rebound before it starts…not to mention it’s almost Valentine’s Day and then in 1 week it’s my birthday. I know that sounds dumb…but I want him to be there. I’ve done everything wrong, I’ve sent him the emails, I’ve texted and called and he is acting like he hates me. We ran into each other at the gym and he FLIPPED on me and yelled at me for stalking him when I didn’t even know he was there. He genuinely refuses to speak to me because he is putting all of his energy into this new girl so that he can forget me. I know that he loves me but he is just being selfish and trying to not feel hurt himself. I’ve been doing the no contact for a week now. But that’s only allowing him to get closer to this new girl…what do I do??? This mess is killing me.

Mother’s day is a week away. Her mom and I were fairly close, so favorite ‘possible future successful son-in-law’ is going to send mom some flowers and a card. They live in the same house. Not only am I going to wish mom a very happy Mother’s Day, but I am also going to make reference to mom’s dog. ‘ give a paw for Rover for me’ and sign the card, Love Brian. And of course, not a word about the ‘ex’.
I used to bring her flowers all the time. Love to be a fly on the wall, it’ll drive her insane and what will mom be thinking…break ups a mistake?
Flowers will be delivered the day before Mother’s Day. On Mother’s Day, there will be a few ‘others’ at the house who
are bound to comment ‘where is he’ Mom of course won’t
be putting me down and the ex will have to explain the current situation.
